About this spot

Wall dropping to 27m+ with gorgonian sea fans, barrel sponges, black corals, soft corals, and a huge variety of nudibranchs and sea stars. Anthias dance in current. Turtles, reef sharks, and blue-ringed octopuses sighted. Bahura Kanto has a small hole in the wall at 15m and is suitable only for current-experienced divers.

Location & access notes

Northeast side of Sombrero Island. About 15 minutes by boat from mid-peninsula resorts. 'Bahura' is Tagalog for 'reef' (generic) and 'Kanto' for 'corner'; there are several other 'Bahura' sites in Anilao — this entry specifically refers to the NE Sombrero corner wall. Bahura Kanto is a separate advanced sub-site at the extreme corner with ripping currents.
